Jameous del Agua (Water Grotto) 17m/27 km north of Arrecife, Jameous del Agua is another César Manrique creation. This underground grotto is simply stunning and should be on your 'must-see' list. The complex includes a restaurant, rocky tropical garden, swimming pool, nightclub and lagoon. Look in the lagoon, formed when a stream of molten lava touched the nearby Atlantic waters, to see the bottom peppered with little white dots. Closer inspection reveals these to be blind white crabs (albino crabs) usually found 10,000 feet beneath the ocean.
