Isla Graciosa A trip to this Island will make a very interesting change and offer complete relaxation. Dependent on demand, there is a ferry crossing from Orzola (north of the Island) to Caleta del Sabo in the morning and afternoon. The Island is 27 km square and at its narrowest point, the sea separating La Graciosa and Lanzarote is less than 1 km and only a few meters deep. As one of the smallest Canary Islands, Isla Graciosa is now a protected nature reserve, with a population of just 500. This Island has gorgeous, un-crowded dunes and beaches, but please bear in mind that this Island is basic - no cars, unmade roads, but more importantly, there is no shade. There is a small place to buy refreshments in the fishing harbour. Pick the right day and this will be a very pleasing day trip indeed. back
