About Lanzarote

Despite the arrival of tourism in Lanzarote, most of the Islanders remain committed to the rural culture and tradition of their predecessors, and ensures that there is plenty of unspoilt countryside and forbidding landscapes to explore and some very interesting people to meet along the way. Lanzarote is one of the few Canary Islands not to have been spoilt by tourism.

The local language is Spanish and the currency is the Euro. The population of Lanzarote is around 80,000 and around 1 million visitors per year enjoy this relaxing, magical Island.

Lanzarote has an 18-hole golf course in the popular resort of Costa Teguise and boasts many historic and natural wonders, along with incredible scenery throughout the Island.
